About Us
Our Motivations and Ambitions
Paws For A Minute was founded by us..! Two students hoping to make a world a better place as a part of our school's Community and Service Project. Our love for animals brought us together and allowed us to come this far and spread awareness about the cruelty the animals of the world are experiencing.

Our prior knowledge was rather limited to some extent, but we believed that this showed the level of ignorance in this world about such an important topic. One of us owns two dogs and our families have had past experiences with other animals. We also follow community groups through our social media accounts for animals and have friends who own pets as well. We have also done presentations in primary school on poaching and factory farming and share a passion for preventing this. Through this research and action we hope to make people see that animals are not just objects but living beings with feelings much like our own.
Our goal is to help animal shelters to spread awareness about abandoned or mistreated animals. We are personally based in Dubai, and most of our research and information will primarily be based within that area. Many animals in Dubai are often abandoned when the owners leave the country, or are left uncared for during the summer. People consider animals more of an object or an accessory they can just buy again once it dies or when they move away, rather than a living being and friend. Especially here in Dubai, leaving an animal without care is leaving it for dead. The unimaginably high temperatures and scorching ground leave animals with burnt feet. Furthermore, the lack of accessible water condemns them to die of dehydration. The main point is that Dubai is not a good place to get a pet unless you are absolutely certain that you can take care of them and dedicate your life to them.
The outcome of accomplishing our goal is that hopefully, using the knowledge we gained from volunteer work at an animal shelter we will be able to educate people and spread awareness about this issue. Our physical action will include helping out at animal shelters with abandoned animals.
